DesignThe technical staff of Studi D’Arte can do any kind of design work necessary in the creation of works of art or architecture, from the preliminary phases (surveys and feasibility studies) to the final installation.

The majority of contemporary work in marble is done in this part of the world. It all begins with an artist’s idea, but what happens next?

Each artist has their own way of working: some follow the project very closely, every step of the way while others send a two or three dimensional plan of the project which we then use to create the piece. The projects come from around the world, for example the minimalist artist Robert Morris sent us a design by email and the piece of art was started from that, when it got to the details the communication continued via email from one side of the world to the other. He only had to come to the studio at a later point to put in the finishing touches.
